We want asylum seekers, refugees and migrants to feel they belong and to have the language skills and confidence to contribute to their communities.
Our Strategy
Our 2026–2029 Strategic Plan sets out how we plan to achieve our mission: to provide personalised language support that empowers people whose first language is not English to communicate independently in the areas of health, wellbeing, education and work. Many students come to us feeling excluded. We aim to help them live more independently.

Our Services
Our volunteers and tutors are the backbone of LEAH and help us to provide:
- One to one English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) tuition in the learner’s home or online.
- Group classes in community settings and online.
- In work progression programmes for migrant workers with limited English.
- Trips and social activities in the surrounding areas
- Health and wellbeing support.
- Information and support to help people access local services.
- Education, employment and volunteering progression support.
