“I have learnt the call 111 is for some urgent medical issue in the class, and I used the 111 call to get medical treatment in pharmacy for my kid who was suffering the red rash problem at that time. If I have not participate this class of 111 introduction, I would never know I can access the medical service so quickly and fast, I probably will book GP appointment with many days delay, or go to hospital waiting for more than half day. Thanks to the teacher and LEAH course.”

- 94% scored LEAH 8 and above (on a 10 point scale) when asked ‘How likely are you to recommend volunteering with LEAH to others?’
- 95% of volunteers felt they were either ‘very well’ or ‘well’ supported by LEAH
- 80% of volunteers have been with LEAH for over a year, showing strong retention and commitment.

Our volunteers come from a diverse range of backgrounds: –
- 56% of our volunteers are from backgrounds that are non white British
- 46 volunteers do not speak English as their main language
- 67 volunteers speak more than one language

Our referrers said
Being able to access LEAH classes means that clients who cannot access mainstream education for various reasons have an opportunity to learn. Many of the clients I support struggle the most with their confidence, and learning with LEAH enables them to grow and flourish.
My client has improved her English significantly – and she enjoys the interaction with the tutor, which has had an improvement on her wellbeing. She is very appreciative of the opportunity.
Some of [my clients] have found confidence again and gone to a college to learn more formally but they wouldn’t have been able to do that without starting with LEAH first.
Clients engage better with the job centre, feel more confident communicating with their work coach and other people. Most clients gain the skills they need to get into work and improve their lives very significantly.
